How can I support Friends of the Library of Kirkland?
Explore ways to donate books, support our book sales, volunteer your time, or make financial contributions to support FOLK.
Yes, we welcome your book donations. You may donate up to 10 bags or banker’s boxes of books.
DO NOT leave donations on the Book Sale shelves. Bring them to the Library sesk for review by FOLK volunteers.
Your donations help fund literacy and enrichment programs at the Kirkland Library. Tax receipt available upon request.
New or clean used books in good condition (like you would find in a used book store).
NO foreign language books. These MAY be accepted by the Friends of Bothell or Redmond Libraries.
We CANNOT accept VHS tapes, cassettes, magazines, professional journals, encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest condensed books, yearbooks, or world language books.
You may browse the FOLK Book Sale collection from the bookshelf in the Kirkland Library lobby during library open hours.
Cash payment may be made to the secure cash box next to the shelves or you may pay via Zelle (308folk@gmail.com).

We need volunteers to help sort book donations, assist with social media engagement, help with Kirkland Library events, and many other activities.
There are a number of board positions that come open from time to time. Please reach out to express your interest in becoming a board member.

FOLK is a 501(c)(3) organization registered with the IRS. Your donations MAY be tax deductible under US tax laws. Consult your financial advisor for eligibility.
